This policy explains what personal data Koperniko-Art collects, what we use it for, and what you can do about it. It covers koperniko-art.com and any purchase made on the site.
Who handles your data

What we collect
- Order data: name, shipping and billing address, email and phone. We can’t ship a work without it.
- Contact data: whatever you write to us by form or email.
- Technical data: IP address and basic browsing data the server logs automatically, plus the functional cookies the store needs to remember your cart and keep you signed in.
We use no advertising or tracking cookies. If we ever add analytics or social media pixels, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
What we use it for
- Processing and shipping your order, and helping you if something goes wrong.
- Meeting our accounting and tax obligations.
- Answering your questions.
- Sending you news only if you subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
Only whoever is needed to get the order to you: the carrier, the payment processor, and the U.S. exhibition venues where the work is held, when it ships from there. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
We never handle card numbers: your card details go straight to the payment processor and never touch our servers.
International transfers
We are an Ecuadorian business and most of our work is physically located in the United States. If you buy, your shipping details are shared with whoever packs and ships in the United States. Our site is also hosted on servers outside Ecuador. By ordering you accept that transfer, limited to what delivery requires.
How long we keep it
Order data, for as long as Ecuadorian tax law requires. Contact messages, up to two years. Subscriptions, until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, or object to our using it. Write to info@koperniko-art.com and we will answer within fifteen business days.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA also gives you the right to know what we collected and to request deletion. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define those terms.
These rights are recognised under Ecuador’s Personal Data Protection Act. Nothing in this policy limits any right the law gives you.
Security
The site runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and admin access is restricted. No system is perfect: if a breach affected your data, we would tell you.
Minors
This site is not directed at minors and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will publish the new version here with its date.
