About us

From a shop in Quito to two galleries in the United States.

Koperniko-Art began a few years ago when our family invested in an art and crafts shop in Quito. Over time it evolved from a local boutique into what it is today: a traveling gallery introducing contemporary Indigenous art from Latin America into major exhibition spaces in the United States.

Behind this endeavor is the Intercontinental Biennial of Indigenous, Ancestral or Millenary Art, the platform that unites these artists and elevates their work to international audiences.

How we operate

We never buy cheap to resell high. Every piece is presented with direct authorization from its artist or collector, and a fair portion of every sale returns to them. The gallery hosting the work earns its commission whether sold in person or online: hence there is strictly one single price worldwide.

What we offer

Original artworks, the books of Jorge Iván Cevallos —writing under the pen name Crazy Horse— and handcrafted Samay natural balms. Nothing else. Souvenirs and commercial prints have been retired entirely.
