The short version: original artwork cannot be returned, unless it arrives damaged or we sent you the wrong piece. Books and other products can be returned. Details below.
Original artwork
Each piece is one of a kind, signed by its author, and never repeated. That is why we don’t accept returns for change of mind. Before you buy, write to us and we’ll send extra photos, exact measurements and any detail of the technique you need. If you’d rather see it in person, we’ll tell you which venue is holding it.
We do accept a return if:
- the work arrives damaged or broken;
- you received a different work from the one you bought;
- the work does not match the published description (artist, dimensions, technique).
In those three cases we refund everything you paid, shipping included, or exchange the piece if another one works for you. We cover the return cost.
Damage in transit
You have 48 hours from delivery to tell us. Write to info@koperniko-art.com with photos of the packaging — outside and inside — and of the work. Keep all packing material until the claim is closed: the insurer requires it and without it no claim can be filed.
After 48 hours we can no longer open a claim with the insurer.
Books and other products
You have 7 days from delivery to return them. The product must be unused and in its original packaging. Return shipping is at the buyer’s cost, unless the product arrived faulty or wrong.
Samay balms, being personal care products, can only be returned sealed and unopened.
How to return
- Write to info@koperniko-art.com with your order number and the reason.
- We’ll confirm the address to send it to. Don’t ship anything before that confirmation — our stock sits in different places and it could get lost.
- Once we receive and inspect the item, we refund by the same method you paid with, within 10 business days.
Cancellations
You can cancel an order at no cost as long as it hasn’t left the venue. Once shipped, the above applies.
This policy does not limit the rights granted to you by Ecuador’s Consumer Defence Act or by the law of the state you are buying from.
